AMA shared profound appreciation for the Lightweight Dialogues – IMS x HFT event held on July 24, 2025, at Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, co-hosted by IMS BAUHAUS® Archineer® Institute e.V. The event served as an enlightening convergence of academia, industry, and innovation.

The afternoon began with an insightful foreword by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heidrun Bögner-Balz, setting the tone for a session rich in knowledge exchange.

• Dipl.-Ing. Christoph Paech (sbp schlaich bergermann partner), who explored innovative and unconventional membrane structures, highlighting the potential of lightweight design in modern architecture.

• Dr.-Ing. Diego Apellániz (Kevee / Universität der Künste Berlin), who discussed the transformative role of artificial intelligence in reducing the carbon footprint of lightweight structures.

• Dr.-Ing. Ann-Kathrin Goldbach (Technische Universität München), who provided insights into the challenges of modeling and simulation in the design cycle of membrane structures.
